Mellie Goolsby Mathis is the principal consultant for MGM Advisory Services where she focuses on recruiting, human resources, and special projects for her for profit and not for profit companies. Mellie is intuitive, action oriented, sincere, business savvy, and maintains high standards of ethics and integrity. She has over 15 years of experience in human resources operations management including: Strategic Resource Management; Resource Management Analysis; Utilization and Initiatives; Conflict Resolution & Negotiations; and Operational Design, Development, and Implementation.
Mellie started her career at Arthur Andersen in Dallas as the Audit and Business Advisory HR/Operations Manager. During her nine years with Andersen Mellie was responsible for resource management, talent acquisition, performance management, promotions, and compensation for the Audit division. After leaving Arthur Andersen, Mellie worked for several other large professional services firms including Ajilon Executive Search, Targetbase, an Omnicom Company, Grant Thornton, and ACS, a Xerox Company.
Mellie has a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts from Texas Christian University. When Mellie is not serving her clients she enjoys volunteering including serving the homeless at The Bridge; being a founding member of the Children’s Medical Center “The Children’s Trust”; and other various charitable causes such as Gilda’s Club, SPCA Volunteer, and Community Partners of Dallas. Mellie also volunteers at her church, Downtown Fellowship, as a “Newcomers Class Counselor”. Mellie is also a member of SHRM and Dallas HR
